OPTION STACK
An option-stack refers to a situation in which a model has multiple options from different clients for the same time period. An option is always a non-binding reservation – the client is interested but has not yet confirmed a final booking.
As soon as several such requests exist simultaneously, they are arranged in a clear order. The first option always has the right of first refusal, followed by subsequent options in descending order of priority. If the customer with the first option confirms the job, all subsequent options are automatically canceled. If they decide against it or let the option expire, the next one moves up.
At first glance, a full option stack may seem like a sign of high demand, but it does not necessarily mean that multiple jobs will result from it. In the end, multiple options may result in exactly one booking – or, in the worst-case scenario, none at all.
