REACH COMPENSATION
Reach compensation is a form of payment where a model is paid not (only) for the actual job, but for the reach of a content – how many people see a video or campaign.
This means in concrete terms: The remuneration depends on how well the published content performs, for example on platforms like Instagram or TikTok. The more views, likes or interactions a post receives, the higher the payment can be.
Typical models are, for example:
- Payment per 1,000 views (CPM model)
- Bonus payments from certain ranges
- Combination of fixed fee + performance bonus
However, this is a double-edged concept in a professional context: for customers, it is attractive because they only pay more if they are successful, for models, it can be risky because the actual reach depends on many factors that they do not fully control (algorithm, timing, budget for ads).
Therefore, in the industry, mileage compensation is often considered a supplementary model rather than a sole payment method for classic model jobs.
