OPTION
In the modeling industry, an “option” refers to a non-binding reservation for a specific period of time or job. It signals that a client has a clear interest in a model but has not yet confirmed the booking. For the model, this means keeping the requested time slot available, even without a firm commitment. This is commonly referred to as being “on hold.”
Options are time-limited and can either be confirmed or released by the client. Only when an option is “confirmed” or “picked up” does it become a binding booking, making the job secure. Until then, it remains a potential opportunity rather than a guaranteed one. However, being on “first option” (first choice) usually indicates a very strong chance of securing the job.
