FAT SHAMING
Fat shaming refers to the practice of discriminating against or belittling people based on their body weight or shape. This involves stigmatizing, ridiculing, or negatively judging individuals because of their perceived excess weight. Fat shaming can occur in direct interpersonal interactions as well as in the media or on social networks. It can lead to significant psychological and emotional distress and reinforces negative stereotypes about overweight people. The goal of the anti-fat shaming movement is to promote body acceptance and treat people with respect regardless of their size.
