An e-casting is a video presentation of a model to a client, thus differentiating it from a live casting. Agencies often offer e-castings when time is very short before filming and the model needs to be selected quickly, or when traveling to a live casting would be unreasonable for the model in terms of time or money. The client specifies the requirements for an e-casting and the materials to be submitted. An e-casting typically consists of an introductory video and a video in which the model reenacts a given scene.
