In influencer marketing, views refer to the number of times a specific piece of content – such as a video, Reel, TikTok, or Story – has been viewed.
They are one of the most important metrics for measuring a post’s reach. The more views a piece of content has, the more people have seen it. Every view counts, regardless of how long someone actually watches (the counting method may vary depending on the platform).
For influencers, views provide insight into how well a piece of content is performing and how much actual visibility it has within their own community or beyond. For brands, they are a key indicator for evaluating the success of a campaign – especially when it comes to awareness goals.
However, views alone do not say anything about the quality of engagement. That is why they are often considered alongside other metrics such as engagement (likes, comments, shares) or watch time to get a more complete picture of performance.
