STROBING
Strobing is a Make-Up technique that uses selective highlights and reflections to accentuate specific features of the face, making them glow. Unlike contouring, which sculpts shadows and contours, strobing focuses exclusively on these highlights- for example, on cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, the Cupid’s bow, or the brow bone.
The goal is to create a fresh, radiant, and healthy look that visually brightens the face and emphasizes certain features. Strobing is frequently used in fashion editorials, photo shoots, runway shows, and commercials to enhance a model’s presence.
This technique is particularly important for models because it emphasizes the natural play of light on the face, defines features, and creates a vibrant and attractive effect in photos and videos. At our academy, we regularly offer workshops and courses with international Make-Up Artists who will help you learn the essential techniques and achieve the perfect look.
