NATIVE ADVERTISING
Native Advertising is a form of advertising in which paid content is formally, in terms of content and function, integrated into the editorial environment of a platform and is therefore not perceived as classic, disturbing advertising. Native Advertising is a central instrument in digital marketing, especially on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube.
In the context of influencer marketing, this means that brand messages are organically embedded in a creator’s existing content style – for example, through product mentions in tutorials, everyday integrations, or storytelling-based formats. The goal is to achieve an advertising effect without interrupting the user experience or making the content appear as a classic ad.
The strategic value lies in the higher user acceptance, increased engagement rates, and a stronger perception of credibility, as the communication takes place via familiar senders and fits harmoniously into the user context. At the same time, brands benefit from the established relationship between the influencer and the community.
Regardless of the native integration, clear and transparent labeling of content is absolutely necessary to meet regulatory requirements and maintain the integrity of the platform.
