A handle is the unique username of an account on social media platforms, recognizable by the @ symbol in front of it, for example @jng.management. Each handle exists only once per platform and works like a digital address, because anyone who wants to tag, mention or find you uses exactly this name.

For you as a model or influencer, your handle is part of your brand. Brands, photographers and agencies tag you through it in campaigns, stories and credits – that’s the only way reach and new followers actually end up with you. So choose a short, easy-to-read handle without confusing strings of numbers or characters, and use the same one on all platforms if possible. Also list it on your comp card and at every job so you get tagged correctly.
