PAY-PER-CLICK (PPC)
From the influencer’s perspective, pay-per-click (PPC) is not a model that directly generates money, but a mechanism that runs in the background of brand campaigns. When you work with a brand, you create content – for example, a Reel or a Story. If this content performs well, the brand can use it as an ad and boost it with budget.
This is where PPC comes in: The brand pays every time someone clicks on this ad. Payment is made to the respective platform (TikTok, Google Ads, Instagram). For you as an influencer, this doesn’t mean that you get paid per click, but that your content is actively used to generate traffic and results for the brand.
The advantage for the influencer lies elsewhere: If the content generates many clicks, it becomes significantly more valuable for brands. This can lead to better deals, higher fees, or additional performance bonuses in the long run. PPC is therefore more of a performance indicator than a direct source of income from the influencer’s perspective.
