INCLUSION
Inclusion in the modeling industry means that people of all ages, genders, heights, body shapes, skin colors, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and physical or mental abilities have the opportunity to work as models and be visible. It’s about promoting diversity, breaking down stereotypical beauty standards, and showcasing a representative cross-section of society on runways, in campaigns, editorials, and commercials.
For models, inclusion is particularly important because it opens up opportunities to take on diverse roles and jobs that were previously reserved for those who conform to certain beauty standards. Agencies and brands are increasingly relying on inclusive castings to tell authentic stories, reach diverse audiences, and embrace social responsibility.
