MOVING IMAGE
In the modeling industry, the term “moving image” refers to all assignments where models are booked for video shoots rather than photo shoots. Instead of individual images, it is about moving scenes that are later used as a film, commercial or social media content. This includes, for example, advertising campaigns, image films, reels or clips for platforms such as Instagram or TikTok.
For models, moving images in practice mean that not only appearance is crucial, but above all the ability to move naturally, to portray emotions and often to implement small actions in a believable way. Depending on the assignment, speaking or acting may also be required, for example in interviews, dialogues or storytelling scenes.
Compared to classic photo shoots, moving image productions are usually more dynamic and often more elaborate, as several scenes are shot, repetitions are necessary, and more attention is paid to timing, facial expressions, and body language. Therefore, the model area often overlaps with acting here.
