WHAT DOES YOUR DEVELOPMENT PROCESS ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE?!

Our development process begins with an honest analysis and clear market positioning. Together, we determine whether the model is best suited for commercial, fashion, editorial, curvy, or people photography. This is not about wishful thinking, but about realistic market potential. Precise positioning is the foundation for all further development.

A central component is strategic portfolio planning. The portfolio is not built randomly, but with a clear goal in mind: Which clients should be targeted? What visual styles are missing? Which markets are relevant? Ideally, portfolio development takes place during a targeted on-stay trip. Such a trip is not a leisure activity, but concentrated production time. Within a few days, several high-quality shoots are created in various settings—ranging from editorial and swimwear to street or hotel content. The model works intensively, gains experience, builds confidence in front of the camera, and creates a cohesive, strong portfolio that is internationally marketable.

If a trip is currently not possible—for example, due to school, financial, or time constraints—portfolio development takes place in a structured manner on-site. In this case, we deliberately focus on selected top test shoots with professional photographers, clear visual language, and a defined market focus. Quality always takes precedence over quantity. A few strong, recognizable images are more valuable than a large number of interchangeable shots.

In addition, targeted training is provided in posing, body tension, facial expressions, presence, and—depending on the model’s focus—walking. At the same time, professional Polaroids are taken, comp cards are designed, measurements are regularly updated, and the model is positioned on the agency platform to be market-ready. Market entry is deliberate and well-prepared—not haphazard.

Subsequently, active placement with clients begins. Initial jobs serve not only to generate income but, above all, to gain experience and build a portfolio of references. After each shoot, an honest evaluation takes place to further hone potential. With appropriate development and a strong portfolio, we also explore international partner agencies for potential placements.

In this context, “development” does not mean passively “being developed,” but rather actively participating. Discipline, professionalism, and personal responsibility are crucial for sustainable success.
