WHAT SHOULD A MODEL PACK IN THEIR CARRY-ON LUGGAGE?!
A model’s carry-on should include a well-thought-out selection of essentials to help you navigate the day professionally and flexibly. An organizer – whether digital or on paper – helps you keep track of appointments, castings, and go-sees, while a cell phone is essential for staying reachable by your agency at all times. Equally important is a valid passport; check the expiration date regularly so you don’t run into any problems during last-minute or spontaneous trips. For spontaneous go-sees, especially for female models, you should always have skin-tone underwear on hand, along with basic makeup for touch-ups and wet wipes for removing makeup. A pair of clean, simple high heels is also part of a female model’s standard wardrobe. Round out your essentials with a small snack like fruit, trail mix, or a protein bar, as well as plenty of bottled water, since castings and go-sees can often run long and food isn’t always provided.
