FASHION MODEL
Fashion models aren’t just at home on the runways of major fashion capitals like Paris, Milan, New York, and London. They also regularly appear in international fashion magazines such as Vogue and Elle and collaborate with renowned designers like Gucci, Prada, Giorgio Armani, Valentino, and many others.
Therefore, they are categorized as either editorial models or catwalk/runway models.
Female editorial models are typically between 175 cm and 183 cm tall and slim. Their classic measurements are generally significantly smaller than the well-known 90-60-90 (35-24-35 inches) and are typically 85-58-85 (36-28-35 inches).
Runway models must be at least 175 cm (5’9″) tall, although a height of 178 cm (5’10”) to 180 cm (5’11”) is preferred. These models meet strict measurement requirements, as designers have their exclusive collections tailored precisely to these body types. Designers and labels book professional models to present their fashion to the customers for whom they designed the collection, and not to adapt the clothing to the individual model.
